Testimonials about Anna

“I offer my strongest endorsement on behalf of Anna Vanesyan for her work as a musician, teacher and scholar. As a performer, Anna’s playing is imbued with warmth and sensitivity, and her technical command is most solid.
Mrs. Vanesyan’s accompanying repertoire covers most instruments and voice; Ball State instructors are unanimous in their praise of her work. When Anna gave a recital, featuring the music of A. Arutunian, virtually all of her collaborators were enthusiastic faculty members, rather than fellow graduate students.
During this past year as a doctoral student as Ball State University, Anna has been a strong asset as a teacher. As part of her graduate assistantship duties, she taught several group piano classes and several private students. Group piano classes at Ball State are taught in an electronic keyboard lab, and usually have an enrollment of 12-16. Teachers of these classes are adept at using not only the electronic keyboards, controller, and electronic visualizer, but they also use PowerPoint software and various other electronic tutorial.
Anna is warm, gentle person, a quick intellect, and a passionate and sensitive musician. I regret to see her leave Ball State University.”
“Anna is an excellent sight reader and knows the different styles of the various composers. She knows how to follow and how to lead the singers. The students enjoy performing with her. She was in great demand at Ball State University as an accompanist for strings, percussion, brass and woodwinds in recital and auditions.”

“I came to know Mrs. Vanesyan as an outstanding pianist and accompanist. As a collaborator, she has the ability to provide a framework for a composition whether it is with a student or other professional musicians. Her ability to sight read difficult scores is truly amazing. She is a consummate musician.
Anna Vanesyan’s patience, dedication and artistry in working with those whom she accompanied enabled them to perform at their highest level.
For her final recital, which focused on the music of Armenian composer A. Arutunian, she collaborate with various faculty that included a pianist, a French horn player, a vocalist and percussionists, which produced a stunning musical event for which she received a standing ovation.”

“As a teacher in both the piano pedagogy classes and the group piano program, I have seen Anna grow significantly in her teaching skills. Already a very experienced teacher when she came here, she willingly embraced many new concepts and methods, working hard to incorporate them into her teaching. I had the opportunity to observe her teaching of both elementary and intermediate-level students. Her students had a great rapport with her, and made appropriate during the time they studied with her. Despite the fact that English is not her native language, she consistently gave high quality pedagogical presentations in my classes.
I have every confidence that Anna will have a bright and successful future in whatever she does…”

“I have had privilege to know A. Vanesyan for a long time since her student years as a pianist of the exceptional musical gifts. She graduated form the Conservatory with honor in 1991, and then completed her postgraduate studies in 1994 under the guidance of the leading pianist of Armenia professor Ketty Malkhasyan.
During the last decade Ms. Vanesyan has been one of the respected young members of the faculty of the Komitas State Conservatory. She has a special skill of helping her students connect with music. She is perfectly suited to teach and inspire young people in any classroom setting. Her first graduate student continued her education at the postgraduate level.
Mrs. Vanesyan has earned great respect not only for her work as a teacher, but also as a soloist, concertmaster and chamber musician. Also, I would like to mention her great work done in capacity of editor of books about Armenian distinguished musicians.”
